Now you have a simple 3.5mm aux plug on your bars that you can use for the GPS's audio. Plug it into the new plug you just connected under the fairing and run it up your handlebars to your GPS.

Now get a simple 3.5mm extension like this:Ī 3' one is enough. Disconnect the extension from the wiring harness. It is usually near the right side aluminum bulkhead support. Follow the extension wire from the saddlebag (actually from behind the side cover) up to the fairing. If that's the case, buy one of these 3.5mm aux-in plugs: Sounds like you have the connection in the saddlebag and that it is an iPod/iPhone connector. It's very easy to do exactly what you want to do, but what you need to do depends on what you have on the bike right now. It is normally either 1) unconnected to anything if you have no plug elsewhere on the bike 2) connected to an extension that runs back to the right saddlebag or 3) connected to an extension that runs down to the hard lowers for a CCT with aux-input there.
